This research line covers fundamental aspects of science and technology used in optical communications. Its results impact directly the advances of others Fotonicom´s research lines, most notably the DEA – Devices – Applications. It will be possible to have advances in:
- signal processing in integrated photonics;
- devices based on high-confinement silicon;
- Adjustable III-V light sources with low power consumption;
