My research interests focus on Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). QCD is the theory responsible for describing one of the four fundamental forces of nature: the strong force.
In particular, my research explores the non-perturbative aspects of this theory using the so-called Schwinger-Dyson equations. In a nutshell, Schwinger-Dyson equations are a set of nonlinear integral equations that describe the evolution of the QCD Green’s functions (propagators and vertices).
Using those equations we can explore some of the most fundamental QCD non-perturbative phenomena as
- Chiral symmetry breaking
- Non-perturbative behavior of propagators and vertices of the theory
- Dynamic generation of mass
- Behavior of the QCD coupling constant
