An important partner in this project, the Equatorial Sistemas ( https://www.equatorialsistemas.com.br ) is a company specialized in the design, development and production of electro-optical sensors, embedded electronics, embedded software and scientific and testing instrumentation. In the field of scientific instrumentation, Equatorial participated as a supplier in the projects of the SOAR telescope (FAPESP, FINEP) installed in Chile and the Pierre Auger observatory (FAPESP) in Argentina. Alson the company supplied support test jigs for satellite projects (INPE) and rockets (IAE/DCTA). More recently, the company participated in initial and technical feasibility studies, in addition to early prototyping and pricing for a secondary radiation blocker, a fluorescent monitor and an X-ray detector for the SIRIUS particle accelerator in 2016 (FAPESP, FINEP) and for 5 industrial-scale systems study for argon circulation, condensation, purification and regeneration for the DUNE project in 2021 (FAPESP/UNICAMP).

The following participated in the study for the Brazilian participation in the DUNE project:

  1. C. Ghizoni, lead researcher. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (1969), Electronics option from UFRGS, a Masters in Electronics and Telecommunications from INPE-MCTI and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University-USA (1976). He was director of the LASER Division of the IEAv-DCTA. He was director of Space Engineering and Technology at INPE, leading satellite projects for the Brazilian space program. He founded the Equatorial company in 1996 and has since been its executive director, part of the Akaer group
  2. A. Carreira, responsible for guiding the mechanical design of the cryogenic parts (vessels and tubes) for a sensitivity analysis and risk assessment. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (1986-UNESP) with over 35 years of experience in mechanical and structural design and over 10 years in project management.
  3. Augusto, responsible for the designs, search and acquisition of the parts of the test system on a small scale and for the compilation of design data for costing the system on an industrial scale. He holds a degree in Physics Engineering (2009-UFSCar). His solid training in physical phenomena makes him an important asset for the team for the development of the study.
  4. F. Marzullo, responsible for Parts, Materials and Processes on the instrumentation issue. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering (1994-UNIVAP) with real experience in product assurance in satellite equipment projects.
  5. Santiago, responsible for detailing the industrialization processes and initial definitions of movement and transport for the simulation in virtual reality, together with Nathalia and Rubens. Jaime is a mechanical designer (2017-ETEP) and knows the main tools used in aeronautical projects such as CATIA for example.
  6. Arcuri and R. Badaró: Designers with knowledge in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, preparation of inspection reports and technical reports and test instructions and procedures. They have more than 10 years of experience in routing and fixing electrical equipment. Responsible for studying electrical connections, looking for parts and wiring suppliers. They participated in projects with companies such as Embraer, Helibras and Ford.
  7. R.M. Crespo, L.F.P. Gonçalves; L. A. V. L. Kagami: Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineers responsible for the design and preliminary mechanical and thermal analysis. They have knowledge and experience in metallic structures projects and work with the main tools used in aeronautical projects such as NASTRAN for example.
  8. F.E. Combed; R. Silva; C. H. Nascimento and E. I. Oliveira: Responsible for the elaboration of the conceptual drawings in CATIA for the simulation team. Mechanical designers, with experience and participation in projects in the aeronautical sector, such as Embraer LEG.500, KC-390 Front/Spoiler, E2 Jets, among others;
