Medical Physics Teaching Laboratory was created in 2006 to provide support for the Medical Physics undergraduate program from Institute of Physics “Gleb Wataghin” – University of Campinas (IFGW/UNICAMP).
In this laboratory, several radiation detectors commonly used in health field are available, and together they form an advanced laboratory for studies about interaction of radiation with matter, detectors characterization, spectroscopy, dosimetry and radiation protection.
Medical Physics Teaching Laboratory holds a license issued by Brazilian Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) that authorizes the use of radiation sources for teaching and researches purposes.
