Open Opportunities

We are actively looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our team at various levels:

1. Undergraduate Research (Iniciação Científica / IC)

  • For: Physics and Engineering students at UNICAMP.

  • Topics: Hands-on experience with optical spectroscopy (PL/Raman), high-vacuum systems, 2D material exfoliation/transfer, or data analysis.

  • Funding: FAPESP / PIBIC-CNPq scholarship support available for qualified students. A project will be submitted according to call schedules.

2. Master’s & PhD Positions (Mestrado / Doutorado)

  • For: Students holding (or finishing) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or related fields.

  • Focus Areas:

    • Low-temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Luminescence (STML).

    • Electronic and optical properties of novel 2D heterostructures.
  • Funding: Institutional grants (CAPES/CNPq) and FAPESP fellowships.

3. Postdoctoral Fellowships

  • We encourage qualified candidates to apply for competitive FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowships through our ongoing research projects.

  • If you have a strong background in STM, Optical Spectroscopy,  or 2D materials, please contact Prof. Zagonel directly with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.
