In a galaxy far, far away: the dawn of artificial intelligence.

Ricardo Ogando is an astrophysicist at the Renato Archer Institute of Technology in Campinas, and has studied galaxy clusters on large digital maps of the sky. You’ll find him on social media like @thespacelink.

How is AI helping to analyze millions of galaxies? In the next Astronomicamp, astrophysicist Ricardo Ogando will show us how the avalanche of astronomical data, combined with artificial intelligence, makes it possible to analyze millions of galaxies observed through large digital maps of the universe.

From the first galaxies observed to today, technology has evolved significantly. For example, the James Webb Space Telescope can discover galaxies close to the ‘beginning of the universe,’ challenging our understanding of our origins. Let’s better understand this story in a galaxy far, far away…

After the talk, we’ll have a night sky observation session with the Aglomerado Aberto group.
